RAMADAN FESTIVAL

Come and experience Ramadan with us

Imagine sitting down to a meal with people you’ve never met. Discovering a new perspective through a conversation. Experiencing Ramadan through art, culture, movement or simply sharing a moment with someone new. There’s more than one way to experience Ramadan, and you don’t have to be Muslim to be part of it.

Across the UK, you can join people of all faiths and none, from different backgrounds and walks of life, to share a meal, explore something new and discover what Ramadan means to the people who celebrate it.
This is Ramadan Festival: a chance to come curious, share an experience and leave with a little more understanding of the people around you.

Everyone is welcome. Come as you are.

More ways to experience Ramadan

Maybe you’d like to share a meal. Maybe you’re curious about the art and ideas connected to Ramadan, or you want to move, learn or prepare for the month with others. There are different ways to join in. Have a look and see what feels right for you.

Welcome
Ramadan
Conference

Make space to prepare for Ramadan.

Before Ramadan begins, take a moment to pause, reflect and get ready for the month ahead. Welcome Ramadan Conference brings people together to explore what Ramadan means, hear different perspectives and think about how its values can shape our everyday lives.

Through talks, conversations and creative expression, you’ll have space to learn, ask questions and take something meaningful away with you. Whether Ramadan is part of your life every year or you’re curious to discover more, you’re welcome.

Take a look at the highlights from last year’s conference and get a feel for what you could experience.

Ramadan
Pavilion

See Ramadan from a different perspective.

What can art and architecture help us discover about Ramadan? Every two years, Ramadan Pavilion brings the month into public space through a purpose-built architectural structure that celebrates creativity, culture and the spirit of Ramadan.

Created with artists, architects and designers, the Pavilion is a striking showcase of creative expression inspired by the sacred month. It invites you to stop, look closer and explore the ideas, traditions and stories connected to Ramadan, whether you know the month well or are discovering it for the first time.

Come and experience Ramadan through art, design and shared public space.

Ramadan
Active Club

Get moving. Meet people along the way.

Fancy moving a little more during Ramadan? Come and do it with others. Ramadan Active Club brings people together through movement, wellbeing and shared activity.

Whether you’re into running, walking or simply want a reason to get outside, you can take part at your own pace, meet new people and make a little space for yourself during the month. You don’t need to be an athlete or hit a particular target. Just come along and join in.

Fast A day

Try a day of Ramadan with your team

What might you understand differently by experiencing a day of fasting yourself? Fast A Day invites workplaces, schools and other organisations to take part in a day of fasting before coming together to break the fast.

It’s a chance to ask questions, share an experience with colleagues or classmates and learn more about Ramadan in a way that feels personal, not just theoretical. Whether your group already knows a lot about Ramadan or is starting from scratch, the day creates room for conversation, understanding and connection.

Bring the experience to your workplace or school and discover what a shared experience can open up.

Looking back:

Ramadan Festival 2026

In 2026, we took Ramadan Festival to new places, created new experiences and brought people together across the UK under the theme of Hope. From preparing for Ramadan to sharing iftar, exploring art and getting active, there were many ways to take part.

Welcome Ramadan Conference

In 2026, Welcome Ramadan Conference returned to Soho Theatre Walthamstow, bringing together over 500 attendees for an evening of reflection, learning and connection. Centred around the theme of Hope, the conference featured meaningful discussions, spiritual insights and creative performances, helping people prepare for Ramadan and reflect on the values that connect us.

Open Iftar

In 2026, Open Iftar reached some remarkable settings. We held our first-ever Open Iftar at the historic Banqueting House and brought the experience to Silverstone Circuit, alongside gatherings at Bradford Live, Brighton Dome, the Library of Birmingham, Glasgow and other locations.

At 22 Bishopsgate, guests came together to break their fast high above London. The Festival closed with an Open Iftar in Trafalgar Square, bringing more than 3,000 people together for a shared meal in the heart of the capital, in what was billed as Europe’s largest Open Iftar.

Ramadan active Club

In 2026, Ramadan Active Club brought people together to move with purpose across London, with runs at Soho Theatre Walthamstow, Battersea Arts Centre, Guildhall and 22 Bishopsgate.

More than a run, each gathering was a chance to nurture body, mind and soul, make space for reflection and connect with others. Runners of all abilities and backgrounds, including people of all faiths and none, came together through movement and a shared sense of purpose.

Fast A Day

In 2026, Fast A Day brought the experience of Ramadan into workplaces across the UK, creating opportunities for colleagues to learn from one another through a shared day of fasting and iftar.

We worked with orgaisations including Ogilvy, Springer Nature and Arriva Rail, and brought Fast A Day to Wellcome Trust, Lenovo and RenaissanceRe for the first time. Each gathering offered a chance to build empathy, deepen understanding and bring people of all faiths and none together.

Every event was made possible by the people who came along, volunteered their time, partnered with us and helped bring the Festival to life. Thank you for being part of it.
